Im here in Russellville, Arkansas and been here since Saturday May 23 waiting for my next assignment with my job but with it being a Sunday and a Holiday on Monday, their was nothing to take at least for me. So i have been at this Flying J in Russellville since Saturday playing my Laptop and watching TV in the Drivers Lounge. It has gotten really boring but the one thing that has gotten me through is my Air Card to connect me to the Timmy and entertain me with Youtubes and i downloaded Plants Vs. Zombies and have been playing that. Its very fun and i demand that you go get it too and play it.

This was so Cool!!

Yesterday i was coming back from Mount Vernon, Missouri on I-44 and i crossed the border to Oklahoma and was on the Will Rogers Turnpike. While i was driving back, i remember about this McDonald's i saw on the way to Mount Vernon and it was a really cool one not like the all the other McDonald's i seen before. This McDonald's was on the highway and when i mean on the highway, i mean literally its hanging over the highway. Check it out.

Photobucket

It was also a rest stop but that is an awesome rest stop to come to. Have a bite to eat amd watch the traffic go under you lol ^_^

That's right, you saw, FINAL DAY 65 APRIL 16TH BABY. I get off my training truck tmrw and will in Dallas to do all my exit testing and once I pass all my tests, I will be issued my own truck and I hope it will be one of the new ones that they been pulling into our d
Dallas terminal.

So, this month was cool, went to Colorado and Texas over and over but didn't care, everyday is a learning experience for me and I had a lot of fun going out on the road with Tom and it sure will be different when I'm in the truck bymyself without someone telling me what I'm doig wrong or what but its goning to be a lot of fun rolling out of that terminal in my own truck.

When I get my truck, I will take photos of it and show y'all, oh and I hope they will let me pick my own so I can get a dark blue truck that has the right speed I want. Well, I wanted to post this on here before I forgot. Hope to see all my friends and family soon.

All right, this past week was a very interesting week indeed with all the crazy weather we had and how it effected my travels.

We had only 2 runs this past week all becuase of the crazy weather we had in Colorado. We did our first run that was close by in Texas and then we had a run we got to pick up from Sears on Wenesday to take to Aurora, Colorado which we have been there before so no problem. The drive up there was simple and easy and dry. All around the land was dry and barely aything in site. We got into Aurora, Colorado and notice that it was starting to snow a little and we knew in the broadcast it was going to snow a little bit. So we got to the mall and stopped and slept til morning to have the Sears store unload their things from the the trailer. We woke up in the morning and Tom got the trailer all set up for the Sears guys to unload the trailer and we went inside to the food court to go get somehting to eat in the mean time.

After eating i went to this nice arcade which was pretty big. I played a round of DDR and since i have not played in a while, i had to get back into the game sorta. I finsih that and went back to the truck to find that it has been unloaded and we could leave.

We left and made our way to the Denver Terminal of our company to pick up our next load to be taken to a Target warehouse in Tyler, TX which we have done before no problem. When we got to the terminal, we notice that the wind has picked up alot more and snow has been starting to fall faster as well. We didnt really think much about it until we got on Highway 76 to leave Denver and thats when all the fun and action begins. Visibility droped to near nothing and all traffic slowed to 15 MPH until we came to a complete stop. All hell broke loose through out town with ppl crashing into everyone, buses, cars, trucks, etc.. It was mayhem all over and when we started moving again, we noticed that the other side of the highway was not moving and we thought they just closed that side already due to the wetaher and stuff. We got to a bridge where a truck in front of us was stuck and couldnt move due to it being to slick. We had no prblem getting over and when we got over we looked to the other side and we found the prblenm to why traffic was not coming down the other way. What i saw was the biggest pile up ever. There had to be at least 40-50 vechiles crashed in eery which way possible and when i say vechiles i mean cars, trucks, a bus, Semis, etc.. It was bad very bad and ppl were slaming on their brakes to rubber neck and Tom having close calls with idiots braking on bridges i mean a bridge ca mon you think ppl in Denver would be used to this kind of weather and would know how to drive in it. Psh yeah right, im wrong and they are dumb. I live in Texas and we rarely get this kind of weather and i know how to drive in it smartly. Oh yeah, it was also scary when the trailer was swiinging left and right when we slowed down to hard becuase of some idiot braking to hard. We also saw some cars spin out on the highway and make it back frontways and go zooing down the ghiway again and spin out again. you think they would leanr their lesson the first time but i guess it will take them to crash to learn it the very hard way.

So anyway, they closed I-70 out fo Denver so we had to stop at a Wal-Mart near by to wait it out and it was about 2 hour wait until they re-open it. In that time we went to Wal-Mart to get something to eat and all the food departments were closed and sent home early and the surrounding resturants did the same except for Wendy's, they stayed open til 4pm. We got food there and went back to the truck and i checked back on the road and they re-opend I-70 and we took off agian. We attempted to leave Denver at 11am and didnt reach Lamar, COlorado until about 11pm that night where Tom decided to stop becuase it was impossible to see. On our way to Lamar, they closed the highway due to a truck semi crashing on a bridge out of the town of Kit Carson. It took them about 2 hours to get it clear for us to pass. There was a Cafe right there and Tom went to check to see if it was open and the owner tells him yeah, i can make you something but will hand it to you through the door. Thats cold man, and they even refused to serve the EMS and police that responded to the accident. That person lost out on alot of money they could have made right then and there and we wont stop there ever due to their rude attitude. So we finnaly got through and made it to Lamar and stopped and eat some food at the Loves Truck Stop.

We slept and woke up in the morning and wanted to get out of COlorado asap but we got to Springfield, Colorado and Tom wanted to stop at the truck stop there to get some chewing tobaco. He finds out the truck stop was closed and he came back and started to leave but, the brakes have frozen shut and i had to go out and beat them with a sledgehammer in order to get them to seperate. As soon as we got that done, Tom started driving and he made a left turn to head towards the a\exit of the lot but the truck said no and went head first into a snow pack and we were stuck. The company called a truck wrecker to pull us out and after they did that, we were going to rroll out and when we made that decision, the higway patrol came and closed the gates to the highway in and out of town saying the roads are to bad to drive and they wont open them until morning fi ti clears up. Tom was not pleased at all and i wasnt either, the truck stop was closed and i have to deal with a man that is craving his snuff......yuck. We found out there was a LOve gas station down the road that was open and it had a SUbway in it and we took off to that and got some things and came back to the truck stop and parked for the rest of the night. Oh did i mention the heater on the APU unit was shot and we had no heat without having one of us sit by the brakes to tap the brake pedal so the engine wont turn off and have the heater on to warm up and then turn off the engine. We did that for a while and then went to sleep and the sleeping bags did all thw work for me keeping me toasty warm.

We woke up the next morning and the wind and snow has finnaly stopped and the roads were still closed to give the plows time to clear them out. The truck stop finnaly re-opened and we went in to get some hot drinks and some snacks. The resturant opened at 9 and we had breakfast there which was at a verygood price conisdered for a truck stop. After 11pm, the highway patrol re-opened the highway and we all took off towards Texas. We stopped in Whichta Falls to fuel up and i got tired of watching him drive and took a nap and he woke me up when we finnaly got to Paris, Tx at arouns 11pm last night where i am now taking 2 days off. Thanks goodness, i needed it.

Oooooooooook, I know its been a while and I'm not going to break it down day by day because well....let's face it, I'm LAZY and plus I'm not going to do alll that while I'm posting this info on my phone.

So, we left that day back to texas and for the next couple of runs we had to do went back and forth to colorado again and it was cool since I was learning the road so at least if I lived in dallas and I wanted to go to denver I know how to get there. Lmao. E done withAfter a couple time we got a new run where we had to go to Cheyanna, WY which was a. Nice change but wasn't to far from Denver but at least I got to see Buffalo for the first time. It would have been nice to have some buffalo burgers, I heard they can be pretty tasty if cooked right. So after that are next trip was to El Paso wich was also a nice change of veiw since I never been to El Paso as well. We took the scenic route instead of interstates to cut time out which was cool seeing the mountains ranges and open plains and small towns. Driving down to El Paso was a vey nice drive until we got close to El Paso and the Border Patrol blasts super awesome beams of magical light as you pass their check point to make sure your not brining imigrants or drugs to El Paso. It was cool and they do the same for the trains. A train was passing by at the time and you can see some of the trains were open so that means someone had just jumpped off. We got to El Paso and was laid over untill late the next morning and got a load that was heading to OK City. We took the highways all the way to Wichita fAlls and then took i-44 Oklahoma Turnpike into OK City. We had recently had to do the same thing again. We got aload to El Paso and then from el Paso to OK City but it was better since I drove during the day and saw some more things then last time we went to OK City. Stupid deer sitting their happy butts in the middle of the road, I would have hit Bambie if he didn't move his happy ass. So right now, were heading back to Tyler, Tx from Denver and then got a short load from Dallas to do and then we wait again. So that's where I'm at so far. I got less than 80 hours to go with this training so I may be done with the training by next week or beginning of april. I'm very excited because when I'm done it all comes down to find out what truck I get.

DAY 17 - Feb 27

Tom drove through the night all the way to oaklahoma city and then all the way to dallas. I woke up once we were back in the dallas terminal for werner and the truck and trailer was bieing inspected and they told tom his truck was due for service. He told them he would do it later cuase he needed to go home. After that was said and done, we heaed out without a trailer and made our way to paris for some time off. We were to stay there from friay til sunday morning which then were back on the road again. We got to paris before 10am and I got checked in and stuff and just plopped myself on the bed in the room and watched tv the rest of the day.

DAY 18 - Feb 28

Saturday was boring again and all I did was watch tv, walked over to walgreens to return some bad fruit cups I bought and then walked to mcdonalds to get me some grub. After all that was done, went back to the room and later that night Cartoon Network showed the movie Dr. Strange which I never seen before and decided to watch it. Was a good movie I have to say so for myself. Stayed up and watch some adult swim and then went to bed because Tom would be picking me up early in the morning around 6 or 7 and I needed a lot of sleep.

DAY 19 - Mar 1

I woke up at about 530am and got ready and packed all my things in my bag and went downstairs to check out and grab some food for breakfast. Tom arrived close to 7am and I hurried up and threw my things in and we took off towards dallas. We arrived in Garland, TX at a sears warrehouse and picked up a pre-loaded trailer which was headed for Littleton, CO this time another small city just outside of demver. we take off and i drove the same way we went to grand junction but I stopped just a couple of miles just passed the bored of colorado to switch out with tom. Tomw kept going on I-25 all the way to denver and then we had to take a few other ways to get to another mall to drop off the sears stuff. He woke me up to move to the top bunk so he could sleep since we got to the mall around midnight.

DAY 20 - Mar 2

Woke up in the morning by someone knocking on the door and it was the guys to unload the trailer and it took some time and I went back to sleep. after they did that, we had to go to the denver terminal and i had to see someone to show them my plastic cdl license and we had to wait to pick up a trailer to take to tyler, tx but the trailer wasn't there yet and we had to wait a couple of hours before it got there. After a few hours the trailer got here and we grabbed it and tom drove first on our way to tyler. I went back to sleep some more to be ready for driving. Woke up in about an hour to drive until almost midnight and tom took over again.

DAY 21 Mar 3

Tom woke me up in the morning and I drove the rest of the way to tyler. i made it to Tyler, TX at the Target warehouse and dropped off the trailer, had a little trouble backing up the trailer to drop it off. after all that fuss, i grabbed an empty trailer and we made out way to grand prarie, tx to pick up a new load. we got their early and had to wait a couple of hours before we could get loaded. this load was going to Henderson, CO which is where the terminal is located. we were to drop the trailer there and pick up another trailer and take it to dallas. so we made our way the same way again to colorado and switched out at the halfway point which then I went right to sleep.

DAY 22 - Mar 4

We got to colorado in the morning and I woke up just as we were getting off the highway to the terminal.. we pulled in to the terminal and parked the trailer and then parked the truck and had to wait a couple of hours until the other trailer gets here. At around 3pm, the trailer got here and we grabbed it and left and I drove first and made our way back to dallas. We stopped in eads, colorado to eat and a nice resturant, the only one in town where if I lived there, everyone would know my name. *shudder* I got a chicken fried steak and it was great, all homemade and it was delicious. After we finsihed there, tom toom over and I went to sleep with a full belly, lol.

DAY 23 - Mar 5

we got to dallas the next mroning, sorta, just outside and I drove the ret of the way back to the terminal and dropped the trailer off at the terminal and picked up an empty one and got the next pick up location which was garland, tx again to take sears stuff to Longmont, CO again just outside of denver. We had a little issues with the trailer we picked up at the sears lot, the trailer had a flat tire, what I thought at first. I pointed it out to tom who was not very happy about it and we had to go back to the terminal and get it fixed before we could leave. After a couple of hours of repairs, the tire was found to be blown out not flat. So the got it fixed and I started driving to colorado and only had 5 hours left for driving and stopped in dumas to eat dinner and tom too over and drove the rest of the way to colorado while I slept.

DAY 24 - Mar 6

Om woke me up around midnight as we stopped at a flying J to fuel up and asked if I wanted to take a shower which was good idea. We went in and had a hell of a time trying to get me a shower. While tom got that taken care of I ran into a friend from the school i. Want to to learn how to drive trucks. We talked for a bit and tom called me over and got me a shower room and I took a shower. I got oit and bought a lunchable and mtn dew and hopped back in the truck eat it and went back to sleep. Tom again woke me up to hop to the top bunk so he could sleep since we got to the sears store in the morning. We were woken up by the ppl wanting to unload the truck and tom got that started and I went back to sleep. Woke up around 8 and tom came from wal-mart which was not a bad idea. I went over to wal-mart and boought two boxes of honey nut cherrios and some milk. I eat 2 bowls of cereal. Waited an hour more and they finished unloading and we took off towards the denver terminal to wait for anothr trailer that we are still waiting for right now.

DAY 14 - Feb 24

I got a call from Tom at about 645am telling me he is on his way to get me. After an hour he arrives and I throw all my stuff inside and we get rolling to our next destination which was Garland, TX near Dallas at a Sears warehouse which we took to aurora, Colorado just outside of Denver. I drove from highway <insert # here> and after a couple hours driving, I was starting to feel really bad as in my stomach was hurting and I was feeling like I want to throw up. So we stopped at a town and I bought some Tums and chewed on 6 of them and after a while my stomach relaxed but I had another problem. I had slight sore throat which I didn't really think f much by I had bought Halls just in case and was using them as needed and hoping it would not get worse. So I kept on going until we hit somewhere off I-70 not long to Denver and we stopped to fuel up and I was done and I was happy, I took some meds and crashed because I had started to get a slight fever. I took some 800mg motrin and went to bed.

DAY 15 - Feb 25

I woke next morning and OMG, my throat hurt worse and it kinda hurt to swallow and that's when I figured I had caought a cold. Good job -_- I say and I took some day time meds for sever cold because I also has runny nose and congestion. Tom drove to the mall where the sear retail store we were to deliver to the night before. They had finished unloading around 10am and we took off to the next place to pick up our next load. Our next stop was Denver at the pepsi plant to deliver to a Pepsi bottling plant in Albaquerque, NM. We picked up and left and drove all the way down I-25 to NM. We got there the same day at night and look for the place to make sure we know where its at. We found it and then decided to go to a TA to take a shower and park for the night, *sigh* we or I should say Tom got me lost trying to find the TA and we stopped at. Gas station and he went inside to get chewing tobacoo and he swapped with me to drive. So Tom was able to find the TA and we went in and took a shower and I went and bought what I thought was a night time formula of the day time stuff I bought.....WRONG. I bought the day time formula but just for sever congestion, I was in a hurry and didn't notice. So I had to take the day time formula for cold and sadly, it kept me up a little longer than I wanted. Oh, check this out, we all know there are whores or ladies of the night or as truckers call them Lot Lizards, out there in the world and I knew one day I would run into one. So, that night we were watching Barbershop in the truck and I saw this car pull up and a lady gets out and the car pulls off and what you think happened? *knock knock knock* WTF, a lot lizard and dam.....UGLY. Tom just waved at her and she walked off and I watched the movie and finnaly feel alseep.

DAY 16 - Feb 26

So, we got up at about 930am and I was feeling a little better, my congestion is clearing out as in hacking mucas.....*gross*...but hey that's how the body makes you get rid of that stuff. So iwe went to the TA to eat breakfast but..I was not feeling all up to breakfast yet since my stomach was still feeling a little upset. I just drank water and went a bought some vicks vaper rub and some vick nyquil for cold and flu which I will take tonight before bed. So we finished there and headed over to the pepsi bottling plant around the corner and made the drop and we expected to get the next shipment right away but....no. we went back to the TA and waited for about an hour and we got a shipment message and that's was when we had to come down to Portales, NM and pick this stuff up and take it to Oaklahoma City and drop the trailer there and someone else will pick it up and take it to Grand Rapids, MI which is the final destination for this load. So here we are and we have finnsly got the truck loaded, locked, and sealed and Tom has taken the wheel and will be driving the way to Oaklahoma city while I take the vick nyquil and drift off to la la land and hope to feel better in the morning. While the trailer was supposedly being loaded, Tom and I went to a chinese buffet and its was good. Just eat mostly chicken and got some ice cream and went back to find out the trailer wasn't loaded, whatever. I miss all of my friends and family a lot and I can't wait to come home and hang out with y'all and catch up in what life has done with y'all. Well, good night and keep safe everyone.

DAY 13 - Feb 23

Well, this morning i got a call from Tom at around 630am which was when he said he would call me to let me know he was on his way or when he will be here. He tells me that we will be staying another day but i didnt want to ask why becuase i think i may know why but i didnt want to ask at that moment, i just went back to sleep lol. So today was another broing day today for me here in Paris. I walked over to Wal-Mart to go get my hair cut at the air salon there at wal-mart and the lady did a great job. If i had my laptop i would upload a picture but i dont so i cant. After i got my hair cut, i went to the McD out in front of the store for lunch and eat. After i eat lunch, i went to the Walgreens down the way and shopped for grocery supplies to have on the truck when im out on the road. I bought things like bread, peanut butter, grape jelly, fruit cups, pudding, goldfish, little meds for first aid kit i got, pop corn, microwave meals, and chefboy. Im glad Tom has a Microwave on the truck so easy time to get food for on the road. So after i got all that, i went back to the hotel and just relaxed and watched TV and then i decided to come down here before it got to late to update my LJ and here it is. Well im done for todays update, im going to go back to my room and watch TV little longer and then go to bed. Tom is coming to get me early in the morning most likely so i got to get ready. CYA later and keep an eye out for the next update.

DAY 10 - Feb 18

Woke up wenesday morning to find snow all over the place which was really nice to see. I got out of the truck at 7am to go give the paper work to the poeple in the receiving place we where waiting on since last night. I had to break a bolt locked seal with some bolt cutters which took some time for the warehouse worker to find me one. Got all that taken care of and they unloaded the trailer and exchanged final paper work and took off to some other city in Wisconsin that I can't remember the name. We stopped at TA to take a shower and after all that was done. We got to the place in about 2 hours and picked up some Ortega products on its way to houston, tx. So I drove this time from this place and drove is name, getting tired say,all the way to a rest stop way out past st. Louis which then my trainer took over because my hours was up. I went to bed after watching him drive for a while.

We just stopped at TA off of I-40 outside Armarillo and took a nice shower. I feel much better now to continue writting this journal.

DAY 11 - Feb 19

I woke up at around 530am and my trainer had allready stopped a corner store and was about to wake me up anyway. I had to wait 30 mins before I could drive because I have a driving curfew between midnight and 6am. I went inside and use the restroom and got a cup of coffee to warm and wake me up. We had past Nacodocghes, TX off US 59 heading to Houston. I took the wheel while my trainer (ya know what, let me just give his name.) Tom was going to hop into the sleeper while I drive all the way to Houston. Not like he has done that before but it gives me confidence knowing he trusts my driving to go to sleep while I drive. So after driving for about 3 hours, we finnaly got to the outskirts of Houston and I had to wake up Tom so he could lead me to the Werner drop yard in Houston.

I will continue later, I need to get some sleep. I lost an hour of it while I was driving from colorado to texas.

DAY 11 - Feb 19 (Continued)

We got to the Houston drop yard and dropped the trailer we currently had and picked up an empty trailer and started to make our way to the other side of Houston to pick up our next load. This load was set to be deliverred all the way to Washington State which Tom was not to happy about. By some chance we were told to meet another trucker in Grand Junction, Colorado and swap trailers and we will take his trailer and bring it back to Tayler, Texas and he will take ours to Washington instead. That was cool and all but, it came to my mind that i never been to Colorado and there is alot of snow and mountains. This was going to be a crazy drive thourgh Colorado. So Tom started to drive out of Houston on our way to Grand Junction, Colorado. We stopped for lunch in Fairfield, TX at an all you can eat place. I drove after lunch and Tom went to sleep in the back to prepare when he will start driving. I went all the way until we hit a rest stop couple hours outside of Whichita Falls, TX and my dricing time was almost up and it was couple hours before my driving curfew. So Tom took over and i stayed up to watch where we were going and then after a couple of miles i jumpped into the back and went to sleep. I had a very wierd dream that night which involved me fighting some....thing and i just went berserk biting and punching and gore. I have crazy Dreams.

DAY 12 - Feb 20

I got tossed to the side and all over and i think i was talking in my sleep becuase i was slowly waking up and realized that the tossing and turning was being cuased by Toms driving. I got up all groggy and half dead looking and joined Tom in the front and realized we had arrived in Colorado and he was driving up a mountain side and thats why i was tossing and turning since the roads bend and turn alot. Tom did confirm that it sounded like i was saying something in my sleep but he had no idea what i said. O well, whatever i just continued to watch where we were going and tried to see but it was still dark out and i looked at my watch and see that it says 7am and i was thinking that the sun should be coming up all ready and then it hit me..oh crap...were in mountain time..dammit. So i just sat there looking out the window and after an hour went by the sun started to come up and i was starting to get a look of where we were and started to see the mountains and cliffs we were driving up and and around. Then slowly snow deposits were starting to develope in spots and then more and then all of a sudden snow was everywhere as far as the eye can see. Thats where all the fun starts becuase were in the mountains and the road start to get steeper as we go and we were geting slower as we go up. We had to have our 4-ways hazards on since we were going like 20-25 MPH up the mountains and ppl were honking at us pissed off and im like ok, i like to see you move this huge thing any faster. Then as soon as we got to the top, the roller coaster ride starts and im just sitting there holding on to my seat and seat belt praying i will come out alive. Tom knew what he was doing and we got down nice and slow and i was relieved and Tom just laughs and goes, "were not out of the woods yet"........crap. After couple of hours and the sun has come up high enough, Tom pulls over and hops out and ells me to drive.....^_^;...um ok...sure. So im driving and we hit the first mountain and i was going up slow like before and as soon as we hit the top i was going...um..what do i do so i wont kill us. Tom told me to drop one gear and put on the engine brakes and lets go. I did as he said and we started to go down and i was amazed the engine brakes were doing all thw work for me keeping us going at around 25 MPH and all i had to do was make sure the RPM dont go over 1800 and if they do just apply the brakes and let it drop below 1500 RPM and we will be good. I did all that and we made it down to the bottom nice and safe and i had to do it all over again for a couple of times. We finnaly made it out of the mountains and by that time i really needed to go to the restroom but we couldnt stop for that since were trying to get to a Fuel Stop in Montrose, CO ASAP. So i had just had to hold it.....for 2 more hours...>_<; After what seems forever we got into Montrose and found the Truck Stop and i hurried up and parked the truck and the pump and ran inside to the restroom and i felt soooo much better after that. Tom took over again and drove the rest of the way to Grand Junction, CO where we meet up with his friend and swapped the trailers and started to make our way back to Tyler, TX back the same way we came.....YAY. I drove from Grand Junction, CO and Tom had me stop just before the city outside the mountains to let him drive in and out of the mountains so we can get through it faster. I was falling asleep and took a nap and didnt wake up until we were out of the mountains and about 40 miles from New Mexico. We stopped to eat at a Mexican Resturant and it was a nice place. I drove again and Tom went to sleep[ and i had to wake him up as soon as i get to Raton Mountain which is the border to New Mexico and it also has a Weigh Station planted right on top of the mountain which i got to pass by since we got a system that tells us if we have to stop or not. I got to Raton, New Mexico and woke Tom up and he told me where to turn to take a US Highway all the way to Dumas, TX and wake him up when we get there. I really dont like driving at night but i had to do it since TOm drive during my Curfew hours and he needs rest in order to do it. After 5 more hours of driving i finnaly arrive in Dumas, TX and woke Tom up and let me tell you, if you never drove through the plains of Texas, you are not missing much except for all the high gusts of winds that blow through it which apparently Tom said after i fell asleep, he saw another truck was flipped on its side. O well, so i went to sleep for the night and i really wanted it becuASe i was so tired.

DAY 13 & 14 - Feb 21 & 22

I woke up around midnight and we had stopped at a TA to fuel up and take a shower as well. AFter all that was done, i went back top sleep and didnt wake up til later that morning and we were close to Tyler, TX. We got to a Target Warhouse to make the drop and picked up an empty trailer as well. We left and i thought we were going on to our next pick up point but we were not. Apparently. Toms dispatcher decided to not give him an assignment, instead he said to take the weekend off and we headed back to Paris, TX where i am at right now typing on this computer at the Best Western Hotel where i will be here until tmrw morning when Tom will pick me to continue on with our deliveries.

Hello everyone live here in.......hold on one sec....*pulls out map*.......oh yeah, here it is....I'm here in....Wausau, Wisconsin where it is snowing like there is no tmrw. they have predicted at least 4-6 inchs of snow by morning if not more....*eye twitch*.....WAIT WHAT..o thats just great. so your telling me by morning my feet will be covered in snow. yup thats right and if your lucky it may be up past your feet. *eye twitch* great just great and if this doesnt clear up im going to be stuck here much longer.....o well. i get to see snow. i havent seen snow since i went to korea to see my mom whe she was stationed there. its nice to see it again.

DAY 8 (continued) - Feb 16

My trainer picked me up about 9am and we took off towards Texarkana, TX and into Domino, TX to go pick up....paper....*jumps up in joy*. the destination was Wausau, Wisconsin which made me go say what for a second and then realized holy crap, im going to places i never seen before. this is so awesome seeinng places i never seen nor places i never heard of. so after we picked up in Domino, TX, my trainer threw me the key and it was my turn to drive to our destination *gleeeeeeeee* so i started it up and took off to wisconsin.

i made our way to I-30 to head to Little Rock, Arkansas to change to i think it was I-40 that heads to Memphis and changed again to some other interstate that head to St. Louis which made my heart skip a beat becuase for one i never been there, two i get to see the arch, and three SIX FLAGS IS THERE HELL YEAH, even though i didnt see it *sigh and tear*. i drove all the way from Domino to just outside St. Louis which took me lmost 11 hours of driving which im only legally allowed to do. so my trainer took over and drove through and thats when i saw it.. i saw the arch and i was just amzed by its glory and i really wanted a photo but it was too dark to get anything with my phone camera. so it was great while it lasted and we stopped outside the city limit and rested for the night behind a gas station. i sleep on the top bunk which is nice, i get a cool veiw from the window up here. i will take a couple of photos of the inside of the truck to show yall.

DAY 9 - Feb 17

I woke up this morning at about 730am and had 30 mins to get or do whatever I needed. I ra over to the gas station and bought a liter of mountain dew, bag of munchies ( the frito lay snack called muchies), and some neosporin (ran out of it in my first aid kit, I cut myself yesterday tring to lower the landing gear of a trailer). So we took off at 8am to continue the rest of the way to Wausau, WI. I started first and made our way into Illinois which btw is a pain in the ass for truckers. The speed limit for trucks is 55 mph, that's killer for truckers needing to past through and stay on time but we made it....sorta. after about 3 hours of driving, my trainer tells me to take the next exit and I ask why. He says he iis getting bored and wants to drive some and will give it back whenever.....not. I didn't mind, I was kinda getting a little tired driving that long.so he took over and we planned on stopping at exit 99 for fuel and to meet a friend of his at the Petro truck stop and have lunch as well. We fueled up and parked and went inside to eat at the Iron Skillet which is a nice resturant to eat at when your on the road. I got chicken alfredo w/ brocoli and I also got to get stuff from the soup and salad bar. I got a bowl of Minestrone and it was delicous but I still like the Minestrone at the deli near my house. I eat half the alfredo and took the rest wwith me since we got a fridge on the truck which is very handy. My trainer meet his friens and we talked and eat and took off after about an hour there. I told my trainer to drive because my stomach just gave me a bad pain and I wasn't feeling so good to drive. Something I eat in the morning for breakfast was not settling well I guess. So he drove and it took us until about 6pm to arrive here in Wausau. It must have snowe yesterday because there was snow still everywhere just plowe to sides and what not. We found our way to the destination and parked outside to wait till morning. We walked to a gas station to get some thing and then accros the street to Culvers for dinner. I got a sourdough melt and let me tell you. If any of y'all go to Culvers, the burgers have no taste at all, all I tasted was meat and it was disgusting. I hate a burger with no taste, cheese and bacon does not help give it taste yuck. So after that we walked back to the truck and by that time it has started to snow. My trainer sets up by putting anti-gel in the fuel tanks to prevent the diesel to gel up in this cold weather. We hop inside and turn up the heat and plugged in the tv and watched "the Condemmed", good movie by the way, my trainer feel asleep half way through the movie and I finished it and unplugged the inverter and tv. Right now my trainer is snoring really loud and I laugh sometimes because he makes funny noises just like me according to Dues.....race car noise my butt Dues....anyway, its getting late and I better go to sleep now. We got to drop this stuff off and then go to another city here in Wisconsin and take it to Houston. Nite y'all.

DAY 4 - Feb 12

So as i was saying, my trainer had me drive from Houston after picking up a load which was headed to Grand Prairie, TX. The drive was cool and not bad, well it was not so bad becuase by my surprose there was not much traffic on the way out of Houston. Well of course there is not its the morning, im glad i was not driving into Houston *shudder*. So i finnaly got out of the Houston city limits and the rest of the way was a nice country view and i really enjoyed it all the way until we hit Fairfield, TX. We took I-45 to get to our desitnation ad on the way we past through Huntsville, TX, ya know the deadlist place in Texas where they do all the sentences in prisons. Man, i never seen so many prisons before in one city alone. Every where i looked they seem to squeeze a prison in and when i thought i had left the city limits, there was one last prison a huge white one right off the highway. It reminds me that i never will get on the bad side of the law *knocks on wood*. So as we moved on the view was green everywhere which was the best sites i can see while driving. We arrived in Fairfield, TX and we wanted to stop for lunch and my trainor showed me a place he likes stopping at which was a buffet which was not all bad. Now before we got there i had some trouble acutally getting to the resturant. While i was going to truck driving school, we never drove with any type of load in the trailer of the truck so driving was alot different then what it was then. I stopped at the light off the highway exit and when it turned green, i stalled becuase i was jjst doing what i learned to not press on the fuel pedal when releasing the clutch. WRONG, i l;earned very fast from my trainer that with a load you have to press the fuel pedal when your on a slope becuase the truck canrt handle idle puling the trailer with a load and thats why i stalled. So i hurried up and started the truck back up and got to thw resturant. *sigh* -_-; We stayed there for an hour and he offered to drive, which i happily did let him drive the rest of the way to our destination. After a couple more hours we got to Grand Prairie, TX and went to the place we had to deliver and got it all dropped off. We had to go back to the Dallas Terminal becuase my trainer had a mandatory meeting in the morning. So we made our way back to Dallas and parked the truck after looking for 15 minutes to find a good parking spot. So, after all that, i just basically stayed in the truck for the remainder of the night and morning.

DAY 5-8 - FEB 13-16

Yeah, this one is an all together one since there is not that much explaination needed in it. These fourdays was spent in a hotel room in Paris, TX. Why you may ask i was staying in a hotel in Paris for four days. Well, it so had happen that my trainers days off were this weekend and i was told before about it from him which i did not mind at all, i never been to Paris so it would be a nice thing to see. My trainer put me up in a hotel for th weekend and it was a nice hotel with free internet and a hot breakfast (not that coffee and donut breakfast). So i just stayedin my room trying to contact the outside world through my cell phone using the wireless internet but the connection sucked balls. It kept dropping and it was slow as al hell at the dead of the night which is when i like using it the most since most of my friends our online. I called family and friends to see how they were doing and just to update them on how i was and when i was leaving Paris. This went on the whole weekend. Today is Feb 16 Monday and my trainer will be here any time now to pick me up so we can carry on with driving and chances are i may be back here in 3-4 weeks for his next time off which i wouldnt mind becuase im going ot try and see if we can go to San Antonio so i can stropped by my house and get my laptop so i can have entertainment on the road. Well, im going to go back to my room now and wait for my trainer to come get me, i miss all yall and when i come back lets make sure to hang out and do something really fun. CYA

P.S. Dont you dare mention anything about my spelling becuase i dont care becuase im not going to tkae the time to go through it all with the spell checker and becuase im very lazy and this computer im working on at the hotel does not have Microsoft Word to do it faster.

Ok, i know i said i was going to do this update when i was in Dallas the other day but the la i was thinking i was going to do it in was only for computer training purposes only. I could have done the entry on my phone but it would really be annoying to make sucha long entry on a qwerty keyboard. I am doing this entry on a computer that is in a hotel i am staying at, will explain ;ater whee that is. (DAY 6)

Anyway, lets begin.

DAY 0 - Feb 8

I left San Antonio on Feburary 8th by Greyhound to go to South Dallas Bus Terminal which is near the Werner Dallas Terminal, where my rontation was at. I left at 10:30am and w had to stop in Seguin, Austin, Waco and then South Dallas Bus Terminal. We arrived at 3:40pm on the dot there in Dallas and i have to say i never want to take a Greyhound bus again but it will not be avoidable i knwo it. So i arrived and called the terminal and they came and picked me up from there and took me to the terminals hotel which was conviently located in the terminal. I had a roommate and he was cool, we talked when i met him and learned some things aobut the orientation and some things that have been goping on there. SO after the whole meet and greet, i went top sleep around 11pm.

DAY 1 - Feb 9

I woke up at 5:30am to take a shower and get ready for orientation at the main admin building. I was expectin to get a breakfast in the hotel, not a big one but at least pastry and cereal. Sadly no breakfast was at the hotel, instead it was at the admin building during prientation but it was advised not to eat any sweets that was available since we had top do a drug test and we came back posotive with sugar in it, we have to do it again. So i di not eat anything until around 10 in the morning after i finshed my drug and physical exam. All i had was a cup of coffee and a cinnamon coffee cake....*eye twitch* We got BBQ for lunch and i got a ham sandwhich which was really good. So we did alot of the usual at orientation, paper work after paper work. After all that was said and done, we did some book stuff and then was sent to do sveral computerized training that we had to have done by tuesday since this is a 3 day course crammed into 2. I finshed half the course and went back to the hotel which by the time i did it was around 6pm. I orderd Chinese take out and they have to deliver the food to me outside the barbed wire gate in front of the hotel. That food was really good. So again i meet up wioth my roommate and we talked again about things and just stayed in the room and watch TV since there was nothing really to do there at the terminal unless you got a laptop with games which i did not. Again went to bed around 11pm.

DAY 2 - Feb 10

Next day i woke up at 6am instead and got ready for last day of orientation. Got there and we did alot of things as well as learning how to use the computer system thats on the truck. The computer system is used to keep track of where we are and to log our hours for the day and week and as well get delivery information. That was all easy and done by 330pm which i got my exit paperwork from oprienetation and went back to the hotel to wait for a call from my Over the Road trainer. I did not get a call afor the rest of the day and i ordred Pizza this time and got a awesome deal for it from some little Pizza joint. Went to bed around 11 again in hopes that my trainer would call me in the morning to let me know when he will be picking me up.

DAY 3 - Feb 11

I woke up at 630am to get reayd and go to a meeting that was held at the hotel to let students know about their status fof getting a trainer/ After wwaiting for along time, they told us that the meeting was not going to be held. So i called my Manager and asked him whats going on and he tells me, "You didnt get a call from your trainer yet?", "um no", "Well, you have one assigned to you and he was there yesterday, let me see where he is now.....oo dang, he is in oaklahoma now..we will put you up on the top of the list.", "OK" ( it was more of the ok with a slight sound of pissed off) So i went back to my room and waited again to get a call. At around 1:50pm, i get a call from a number i did not know which i assumed it was my trainer, i asnwered and surte enough it was my trainer and he was on his way to Dallas and will be there in 3 hours which would have been around 5pm. At around 430, i packed all my things and checked out of the hotel and went ot the drivers lounge next doopr to wait for him. AT around 5pm a guy walks in asking for someone (butchering my name) at fist i was like who and then it clicked that he was looking for me becuase he looked at my badge and said oh im looking for you. He went to take a shower and we had to wait till around 830 for his truck and trailer to get out of the shop for reapirs. I threw my stuff in his truck and waited. At around 830 we got back into the truck and left the terminal and was headed for Sealy, Texas just outside of houston for a delivery that he was already on. i was already tired so i went to sleep while he drove all through the night. I woke up at around 1am which i felt the truck stopped which is why i woke up. We go to a Wal-Mart Distributuion Center in sealy and he made the drop and got a different trailer and reported back to HQ. We left on a new delivery and went to houston to pick some stuff up there. We stopped accros from the place we had to pick up from and stopped to sleep at around 2am in the morning.

DAY 4 - Feb 12

We woke up at around 8am and went into the yard to pick up whatever we had to get. It was set to be taken to Grand Prairie, Texas. After we got loaded, he had me drive from the center until we stopped for lunch.

To Be Continued later

Hey everybody, long time no post. I know I know. Last night it hit me that I had an LJ account and I was like, hey this is awesome. I can keep track of my journey here in LJ.

What journey some of y'all may be thinking? Well, as some of you may not know as of feburary 5th, I graduated from Roadmaster Drivers School and got my Class A CDL license and now work for Werner Enterprises as a Over the Road truck driver. Right now I'm in the training portion where I have to go out with a trainer for 4-6 weeks and basically show me skills and to prove that I can handle going solo.

I will be thought a lot of new things that I didn't learn at the school of course we didn't drive with full loads which today made a hell of a lot difference.

Were on our way back to Dallas right now, when I get there I will make my first post about day 1 until yesterday. My post will update hopefully every night when we stop to sleep.

I miss all my friends and family much. This is an awesome experience I am very proud toto experience. Well, I will update as soon as I get to Dallas, I would right now but driving and typing on my phone is getting me dizzy.

Oh yeah, forgot, if y'all have gmail accounts. Google has an awesome app online called Latitude, if y'all want to see where I'm at or see where I'm going, you can ask for my email and you can register my email and you can see where I'm at all the time. You don't have to if you don't want to but I think its cool.

All i know is, i wish i had a desk like what Speed had when he was in school, that desk was awesome. Go see Speed Racer, it is an awesome movie.

All right, so Andrew texted me this morning asking me to go see Iron Man with him and the gang after i get out of work and people have told me its a great movie and of course i wouldn't pass on this offer. So said yeah sure will meet yall after i get out of work. Cool thign for me today i did not have to be at work until 4 today (well yesterday since its now Sunday) and i decided since i have not had a nice day off from working every bloody day, i took it upon myself and go to Fiesta Texas until i...have to go to work....at 4....at Fiesta Texas...........Go figure.

So anyway, i got there before opening sorta and waited in line for our new ride Goliath for which my team members had a crew ride on it last Saturday and i was left out and i was heart broken not knowing when i will be able to ride it. So when i found out my schedule for that day at first i was wondering why was i not schedule to work all day and my sup said he will call me if anything changes. He never called me and then it dawned on me, WTF AM I DOING? i can go there and ride the dam ride as many freaking times as i want until i have to go to work. And thats what i did, well not as many times as i freaking wanted, i wish. We just have a single rider line that is separate from the regular line and at Goliath it goes by pretty dam fast. I rode it 4 times, 2 at first then 2 before i left to to go to work. I got y picture on the first time, i like getting pics on rides i never been on before if they have a picture taker. I need to find my picture from Jurassic park the ride when i went to Hollywood, it was freaking sweet. So anyway, did that 2 times at first then waited for about 35 minutes for Boomerang then rode the train around 2 times. My supervisor wanted me to get her some food from panda express since the park is cracking down on people eating in front of guests i guess and we are no longer allowed to buy food from any of the restaurants while on the clock.

After riding the train i went to the arcade and played DDR:Extreme Once and went to ride the Poltergeist, then Scream, then Tony Hawks Big Spin. After i finish Big Spin, i went back to Goliath and rode it 2 more times and by then it was time for me to head out and get ready for work. Of course again today i was stuck at Boomerang Panel from about 420pm to closing (9pm). Yeah and i didn't get a break, which i didn't mind because i eat before i came in to the work so i was ok but the thing is. I AM FREAKING TIRED OF DOING THE SAME SHIT EVERY TIME I GO WORK. I understand i may be the only "Available" Panel operator that can be at panel but its fucking stupid that i have to be there for sometimes over 6 hours. It gets fucking boring after 2 hours of being there. I have loved to have gone to be on the train and sit my ass down like my lead who was driving all day the train except for when they decided to train someone else how to drive the train when maybe, they could have trained someone one fucking Boom Panel so i would not have to be fucking stuck there for over 6 fucking hours. So the days done and i clean up and BTW my attendant left me after cleaning a little and getting a trash which i thought he was going to throw away and come back and help me finish cleaning the ride up. NO, the asshole left me to finish the rest by myself which pissed me off more now that i have to sweep the station alone and check the exit paths to make sure its was clean which luckily someone already came through and did all that for us which made me very happy.

So yeah, and then at our nightly meeting we have abuot every night after were done with whatever. We were talking about alot of stuff and then the subject came up about training. They talk abut Boom panel training and then they had the nerve to tell me, " and were trying to see about you (pointing to me) getting trained on how to drive the train but dont except it to happen."............Well, my response was like yeah sure...even thought i really wanted to say, WHY THE FUCK DOES IT FUCKING MATTER, all the Full Time Supervisors hates my guts and when its comes to training for that kind of stuff, you have to kiss major ass in order to get what you want there. It feels like i don't even fucking matter to them and that i am just someone who they can fucking run over, its just sickens me sometimes in how they operate things there. They work off Nepotism i bet and of course the better ass you kiss the better job you will get, but of course ocne you stop kissing that ass you better cover your ass because as fast as you got that whatever you lose everything just as fast there which is so fucking ridiculous. Ok, i know you may be wondering why don't i just quit if i hate it so much. Well, as much as i hate it sometimes, the reason i stay is because i like making people happy and seeing them happy makes me happy while im there. Its just the the people who i have to work with pisses me off sometimes.

Well, enough of that horse Shit. i hurried up and left from work and went across the highway to meet up with Andrew and the gang to go see Iron Man. All i can say is that that movie was awesome. I loved it. Watching it in the IMAX, which i didn't know Andrew got tickets for that, made it even better. Explosions and the Effects were incredible. Iron Man's suit just made drop my jaw. It looked so like the comic. Would have been cool if he could have done like in Marvel vs. Capcom and pull out his huge Cannon and blow things up, but of course thats only in the game...well, at least thats what i think. Overall, i do recommenced for anyone to go see it and don't leave once its done. You will get a Mother Fucking surprise at the end of the credits.

Well, gtg to bed now and get up to welcome the morning and head to work to welcome myself to Boom panel for lets see....we open at 1030 and i think we close at 8 so, someone do the math....um....o i say 9 hours of being stuck at Boomerang again....im so fucking lucky.
